Previously called ‘Hayden Village’, the City was formally incorporated on June 27, 1955, and its history runs through Coeur d’Alene tribal lands, farming, lumber, and cattle ranching. These days, this ever-growing city still provides a standard of life that lets residents and visitors enjoy the full range of outdoor activities north Idaho is known for, alongside the amenities of a larger metro area.
